Il Contributor Day non \u00e8 solo per chi scrive codice: ci sono diversi team per potere contribuire con competenze di ogni tipo!<\/p>\r\n<h2>Cosa \u00e8 un Contributor Day<\/h2>\r\n<p>\u00c8 un evento dedicato a contribuire a WordPress, una giornata informale e da passare insieme in un&#8217;atmosfera amichevole, organizzati in diversi gruppi di lavoro e aree tematiche.<\/p>\r\n<p>WordPress viene\u00a0aggiornato e migliorato continuamente da volontari sparsi in tutto il mondo che dedicano una parte del proprio tempo al progetto e alla community.<\/p>\r\n<p>Ogni contributo conta: qualche ora al mese dedicata a rispondere alle domande nei forum, alla traduzioni di plugin e temi, o\u00a0a scrivere codice per il core sono fondamentali per la crescita della nostra piattaforma di publishing preferita.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Cosa succede durante un Contributor Day<\/h2>\r\n<p>Lo scopo principale del Contributor Day \u00e8 essere un\u2019occasione per imparare insieme a contribuire a WordPress. Non \u00e8 una giornata dedicata esclusivamente alla\u00a0programmazione o ad argomenti solo tecnici:\u00a0<strong>se non ha mai contribuito prima e hai voglia di iniziare questo \u00e8 il momento giusto!<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Il progetto WordPress \u00e8 portato avanti da <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/\">diversi gruppi di lavoro principali<\/a>. All\u2019evento parteciperanno team lead e membri gi\u00e0 attivi di\u00a0alcuni di questi gruppi che ti aiuteranno\u00a0a orientarti.<\/p>\r\n<p>Dopo una breve introduzione degli organizzatori, ogni team lead ti incoragger\u00e0 ad unirti al suo gruppo di lavoro. I gruppi saranno organizzati in base a competenze, richieste e disponibilit\u00e0. <strong>Non ci sono regole fisse: durante la giornata si pu\u00f2 anche cambiare gruppo di lavoro<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p>Al Contributor Day potrai lavorare fianco a fianco con persone provenienti dall\u2019Italia e dall\u2019estero, imparare e fare amicizia: sar\u00e0 una giornata ricca di nuove esperienze.<\/p>\r\n<p>L&#8217;intervallo per il pranzo \u00e8 previsto fra le 13:00 e le 14:00. Pranzo, snacks, bibite, caff\u00e8 e wifi sono inclusi nel biglietto.<\/p>\r\n<p>Alle 16:30 i lead dei diversi gruppi riassumeranno cosa \u00e8 accaduto durante la giornata. A seguire, open networking e alle 17:30 ci saluteremo: appuntamento al prossimo WordCamp!<\/p>\r\n<h2>Cosa portare<\/h2>\r\n<p>La tua persona, <strong>computer e carica batterie<\/strong> sono gli strumenti necessari per lavorare insieme.<\/p>\r\n<p>Per chi vuole\u00a0contribuire scrivendo codice, \u00e8 bene arrivare preparati con un ambiente di sviluppo e WordPress gi\u00e0 installati in locale. Il modo pi\u00f9 semplice \u00e8 <strong>installare VVV\u00a0Varying Vagrant Vagrants<\/strong>. Il manuale del core contributor ha una pagina con dettagliate <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/core\/handbook\/tutorials\/installing-a-local-server\/installing-vvv\/\">istruzioni per installare VVV<\/a>. Anyone can help: developers, designers, content producers, translators, testers, UX and accessibility experts, apprentices \ud83d\ude42.\u00a0It really doesn&#8217;t matter what your level of knowledge of WordPress is.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Date<\/h2>\r\n<p>Contributor Day will be on <strong>Friday 16th November 2018.<\/strong> The event will start at 10:00 and finish at 17:00.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Venue<\/h2>\r\n<p>Contributor Day will be held at <strong>Talent Garden Milano Merano<\/strong>. It\u2019s for both seasoned contributors as well as for\u00a0people willing to learn more about getting involved. Never contributed before? That\u2019s okay! This is a great opportunity. <strong>The Contributor\u2019s Day is not just for coders<\/strong>: there are several teams where you can contribute with your skills.<\/p>\r\n<h2>So what is Contributor Day?<\/h2>\r\n<p>The Contributor\u2019s Day is an opportunity to work on various aspects of the WordPress platform, giving back to the project and the community. It&#8217;s an informal and friendly event.<\/p>\r\n<p>The WordPress project is organised in <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/\">several work groups<\/a>. Teams will be led by some of the most active contributors in the community: there will be plenty of people on hand to help you get started!<\/p>\r\n<p>At the beginning of the day, there will be an introduction from the organiser covering how the day will run, followed by the team leads encouraging contributors to join their team! We&#8217;ll then split up into our teams and get to work.<\/p>\r\n<p>Teams will be organised based on attendees skills, preferences, and logistics: there are no fixed rules and you can always change team during the day.<\/p>\r\n<p>Get ready to work and learn with people from Italy and from abroad:\u00a0it will be an unforgettable day!<\/p>\r\n<p>Lunch is provided between 13:00 and 14:00. Lunch, snacks, drinks, coffee, and wifi are all provided at no additional cost.<\/p>\r\n<p>At 16:30 the team leads will give a wrap up of what happened in their team. Then, open networking and at 17:30 we&#8217;ll say farewell and see you again at the next WordCamp!<\/p>\r\n<h2>What do I need to bring?<\/h2>\r\n<p>Yourself, computer\u00a0and charger is really all you need! Should you need adaptors, please make sure you bring them as well!<\/p>\r\n<p>If you want to write code and contribute to core, please come\u00a0prepared with a\u00a0local development environment and WordPress already\u00a0set up. The easiest way is to just use VVV Varying Vagrant Vagrants.
